PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION PRIOR TO REGISTERING.

  • Singles Gatherings are for those who are legally single. If you are separated or going through a divorce, we request that you do not sign up for Gatherings. We encourage you to instead get connected through one of our Care Ministry environments.
  • Gatherings are for post-college-aged singles and older (22+). Please register for a Gathering designated for your appropriate age range.
  • We ask that you register and participate in only one Singles Gathering per cycle.

Furniture Bank

Saturdays: February 18–March 18

Time: 9:30 AM–1:00 PM

Ages: All Ages

This Gathering will meet in the Buckhead Church parking deck and carpool to the Furniture Bank. Participants will build and possiby paint kitchen tables and dressers from kits for clients in need.

Participants typically go to lunch following their service activity. 

Registration is full for women.

About the Furniture Bank

The Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta was founded in 1988 in response to the lack of furniture for families moving out of homeless shelters. Today, the Furniture Bank provides essential household furnishings to individuals and families moving out of homelessness, battling HIV/AIDS, and fleeing domestic violence.

MedShare

Saturdays: February 18–March 18

Time: 9:30 AM–1:00 PM

Ages: 25–45

This Gathering will meet in the Buckhead Church parking deck and carpool to MedShare. Participants will organize medical supplies and equipment to be distributed to needy hospitals in developing countries. No medical knowledge is needed to serve!

Participants typically go to lunch following their service activity.

About MedShare

MedShare is dedicated to improving people's quality of life through recovering unused medical supplies and equipment and redistributing it to those most in need. They focus their efforts specifically on maternal and child health, infectious disease control, primary care, and disaster relief by equipping qualified healthcare facilities in developing countries with these surplus supplies. They also outfit medical missions and safety net clinics in the U.S. and abroad.

Open Hand

Saturdays: February 18–March 18

Time: 9:30 AM–1:00 PM

Ages: All Ages

SINGLE PARENTS ONLY

This Gathering will meet in the Buckhead Church parking deck and carpool to Open Hand. Participants deliver meals to individuals or families who cannot prepare food themselves. Participants use their own vehicles and gas, are provided with detailed driving directions, and deliver only within the metro Atlanta area. The average route is 2–3 hours in length. Participants will be grouped 3–4 people per car for this project.

 Participants typically go to lunch following their service activity. 

About Open Hand

Open Hand offers home-delivered meals and nutrition education to homebound seniors and people with critical, chronic, or terminal diseases. They also provide nonperishable groceries to low-income, medically eligible clients who have the ability to prepare their own meals. Through their work, Open Hand aims to eliminate disability due to nutrition-sensitive chronic disease.

Atlanta Mission

Saturdays February 18–March 18

Time: 9:30 AM–1:00 PM

Ages: 22–39

This Gathering will meet in the Buckhead Church parking deck and carpool to Atlanta Mission. Participants will play board and card games with the tenants at the Mission.

Participants typically go to lunch following their service activity. 

Registration is full for the Atlanta Mission.

Atlanta Mission is a Christian ministry dedicated to providing rescue, holistic recovery, and reentry services to thousands of homeless and at-risk men, women, and children in and around metro Atlanta each year. For over 75 years, the Mission has saved lives by moving homeless individuals and families from the streets to independent housing, breaking the bonds of addiction, and providing hope for the hopeless.

Ages: All Ages

SINGLE PARENTS ONLY

Each week, participants will be sorting donations and doing yard work at MUST Ministries.

About MUST Ministries

MUST Ministries is a nonprofit, faith-based organization helping people in our community break the cycle of poverty and homelessness. MUST provides basic necessities such as food, clothes, and housing, free of charge.
